A MESSAGE FOR YOU

Have you ever felt that despite your best efforts, life’s challenges still weigh you down?

Maybe you’re at a point where you’re trying to make sense of what life is throwing your way. Or perhaps you’re simply seeking someone who truly understands you - a safe place to gather your thoughts.

No matter what you’re going through right now, know that I am here for you.

Despite everything that is happening, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude.

Thank you for never giving up and for having the courage to take the very first step in your mental health journey. This step allows us the opportunity to connect through these words.

I know whatever you’re dealing with, it can feel overwhelming and difficult. But you don’t have to go through it alone. I’m here to support you as we navigate these complex emotions together and work towards growth and healing.

“Mental health is not a destination, but a process. It’s about how you drive, not where you’re going.” – Noam Shpancer

I believe that everyone has a story, and every story matters. I am here to listen attentively to your experiences in a supportive and non-judgmental way, ensuring you feel heard, understood, and valued.

Seeking help is a very brave step, and I truly appreciate your efforts in taking it. When you’re ready, I would be honored to embark on this journey with you.

ABOUT ME & COUNSELING PHILOSOPHY

As a Third-Culture Kid (TCK), I’ve experienced firsthand the unique challenges of navigating multiple cultures. This journey has profoundly shaped my understanding of identity and belonging, and I know all too well how difficult it can be to find a sense of “home” in a world that can sometimes feel fragmented and unfamiliar. Having gone through the process of building a life in a foreign country myself, I understand the complexities of adapting to a new environment.

Living in different countries and gaining diverse perspectives has helped me remain open-minded and culturally aware, allowing me to be sensitive to each person’s individual needs. My personal and professional experiences have driven me to support others like you, particularly those in the expatriate and international communities here in Taiwan, to help you find your own sense of belonging and create the life you envision.

My counseling approach is both collaborative and client-centered, drawing from cognitive-behavioral therapy and multicultural perspectives. I am committed to tailoring our sessions to fit your experiences and unique needs. My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where we can openly and comfortably explore your past and present experiences together, ensuring that you feel heard, understood, and empowered throughout the therapeutic process. Together, we’ll uncover effective coping strategies and work toward a brighter and more fulfilling future - one that reflects your true self and empowers you to embrace life's opportunities.

Francisco Lopez Navigating life as an expat at a foreign country in a professional......more

Navigating life as an expat at a foreign country in a professional or academic setting can become a challenging feat. Dynamic physical and mental health outlets can help us deal with those challenges that lay way outside our comfort zones. I feel blessed and grateful for Dr. Ying Ying guiding my thoughts and mindset during troubling times as I navigate life and work as a foreigner here in Taiwan. Her experience as an expat herself has made me feel heard, understood, and that I’ve received expert feedback!

I hope this message can help you decide on where you can find the help you need to navigate your own challenges!

She’s a really good listener and gives excellent advice. I’d recommend anyone who’s struggling with anything to give this place a try because i believe it’s going to help you in some sort of way. ❤️❤️
